Italy 2026, Day 14

Our morning was filled with a trip to an archeological park about 45 minute north of us, right on the coast. The area of the park was in continual use, in some form or another, for over a thousand years. The more visible areas are Roman and Byzantine. There were three sections we could go to; the old town center, the necropolis and a museum.

Old main road.

Same main road.

Kiln.

Old burial pits.

Crystal die.

There was a friendly kitty on the property!

Lunch was just a short drive away.

Weird breadsticks.

It started to rain shortly after lunch so we headed back to our lodging to rest for the afternoon.

Dinner was in Martina Franca for the last time.

Another kitty.

Tomorrow we, sadly, will be leaving our lodging to move closer to the airport. This has been a really great lodging with fantastic grounds!
