With our water working again, we headed on out to something a bit different today. Our main stop of the day was Zoosafari, a small drive through safari park, zoo and amusement park. We didn’t really know what to expect but we did try to get there early to avoid too long of lines.
People who had reviewed the park advised to bring your own carrots to the park. The reason for this became apparent once we started driving through. You are allowed to feed a fair number of the animals.
It was nice to see all the animals but the enclosures seemed fairly small with little to occupy the animals through the day. Several of the animals did not look well. Several of the elephants looked like they were bored or lonely or both.

Once through the drive-through section there was also a walk-through section.

After we finished at the park we headed to the town of Ostuni for lunch.

We almost didn’t get the chance to walk around town as a thunderstorm passed over us towards the end of lunch. It did end up moving a bit north so we were able to explore a bit of the town. It’s mostly shops and restaurants with a few historical sights.

We’re expecting rain again tomorrow afternoon so we’ll try to make the most of the morning!
