Today was a short but memorable day.
We had one person down this morning not feeling well. Another person forgot to set an alarm and with the shutters closed had no light to wake them up. So, we took the morning as a rest period and started the day at lunch time!

Lunch was amazing! The tomatoes were ripe and drizzled with a buttery olive oil. The caprese salad also had herbs tossed on as well.
We did do a bit of walking around but we mostly took this as a lazy day.

The morning restaurant was Forno Bobbi dal 1909. The evening restaurant was Le Vecchie Mura and last night’s restaurant was Trattoria Antica Macelleria. I would highly recommend any of these restaurants as the food was excellent at all of them!
Gelateria Dondoli was where I got all of my gelato. The line can be long but it is so worth the wait! They also do an excellent job of getting people through quickly. I would consider this a ‘must do’ for San Gimignano.
San Gimignano was definitely a hit, especially for the food. Given that the town is fairly touristy, I’m always surprised that the food is always so good here. It remains one of my favorite towns to visit in Italy!
