England 2025, Day 13

Final full day in England and I spent it in the home town of the Bard, Stratford-Upon-Avon. Fun side note, there are multiple river Avon in England! Found that out when I tried tracing one of them and realized it did not go through Stratford.

I was able to get another combo ticket today. One ticket got me into Shakespeare’s birth house, the New Place and Anne Hathaway’s home. I thought I had been remembering Shakespeare’s home for years. Turns out I was remembering Anne’s house, oops.

The house.

Window that many visitors etched their names on.

The Inn inside the home later in its life.

I did wander around town for a bit.

Inside Shakespeare’s grammar school as it looks today.

Anne’s house.

Anne’s house had a small orchard too.

Neither lunch nor dinner were anything to write home about, sadly. Still, great last day! I’ve had a great, if sometimes wet, time in England. I got to see some new areas and revisit some old ones. It was also kind of weird being able to understand almost everything the people around me were saying.

We’ll see where I head off to next!
