England 2025, Day 11

I am now in the Cotswold, known the world over for its quaintness. This morning I was once more able to see Roman ruins at Chedworth Roman Villa. Thankfully, today is an English Heritage Day so the Villa was free to visit!

The museum.

Water source and shrine.

Really great view.

Instructions on how to use a Roman toilet. Loved it!

Lunch was great!

2 in 1 pie. Steak and mushroom on one side and root vegetables in tomato sauce.

2 in 1 dessert pie. Apple rhubarb on one side and cherry compote on the other with custard.

After lunch I ran into a farm shop called Jolly Nice Farmshop Cafe.

Fresh milk fill station.

After the farm I headed up to Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the more popular towns to visit.

All and all a pretty relaxing day! I definitely lingered over lunch and just enjoyed the good food and a good book.
