Germany 2024 Day 5

Sadly, left Tubingen to head off to Nuremberg today. On the way, we made a stop in the town of Rothenburg. When looking at it originally, it looked like a neat medieval village with a walkable city wall to check out. We did not know that it also has its own Christmas Market but found out a few days before heading out on the trip. Aside from the market, the town has around eight Christmas stores open year round. They really like Christmas here!

Rothenburg has probably been my favorite town to visit so far. Not for the market but more for the town itself. It’s a beautiful town with a lot of historical buildings and a, mostly intact, city wall.

Lunch of salami and cheese crepe when we arrived at the town.

We also tried a half meter sausage. It was great!

Apparently, everyone takes this picture.

After a short day in Rothenburg, we headed for our final destination of Nuremberg. When we headed off to dinner we found a bit of Christmas Market we weren’t expecting.

Our first view of Nuremberg Castle.

For dinner we hit up a Spanish tapas restaurant. Really good food!

Bread with garlic aioli.

Tomorrow we explore Nuremberg and hit yet another Christmas Market.
