It’s the short, short version today. Some days you see amazing sights and some days your choices are a bust. Today was the second one.
My first stop was the town/area called Hellesoy. I had been assured that this would be an all day trip. It took about an hour. The drive was through the coastal area west of Bergen and was very similar to the coast of Maine east of Freeport. Lots of hard rock leading into the sea. The views were very picturesque but almost no places to pull over where you could photograph those views.

As my first plan of the day turned out to be a bust I made a quick plan for another drive. I had found the route on a map of scenic drives near Bergen. The first stop on the route was the town of Mo. Which was a very small town at the top of a fjord. As they had a grocery and picnic tables I decided to stop for lunch.

The second stop was the town of Dale, famous for the woolen company started and still operating there. The interesting part was not the town but the white knuckle drive to get there. I got to experience a long single track road and multiple single track tunnels, loads of fun.

And that was pretty much it for the day. The drives were beautiful if not as relaxing as their environments. Tomorrow I leave Bergen for the fjord to the north and a Viking town.
