Ireland 2021 Day 7

On my first full day here in Doolin, I headed straight north to the coast of the Burren. The Burren is the name given to a fairly large area known for its limestone deposits that have been greatly shaped by glaciers and, later, erosion. The walks along the coast are some of my favorites in Ireland but you have to be careful. If you take a spill you will end up with a large number of cuts and scrapes as the stone is very jagged.

The Burren is home to a surprising variety of plant and animal life. I saw quite a few snails, a few slugs and even blackberries.

Dinner at McGann’s was fantastic tonight, they had live traditional music for the evening!
