Spain/Portugal 2020 Day 8

Sadly, we left Sintra today. Our time there, though short, was memorable. Probably the highlight of the trip to date!

The first stop of the day was the western most point in mainland Europe. Mostly, it’s like going to the Four Corners in the Southwest; you stand there just to say you’ve been there.

The second stop of the day the walled town of Obidos. It had come recommended from multiple people as a good town to visit. Mostly a walking town with shops and restaurants, the town is a quaint tourist trap. With many small, interconnecting streets it was a very pleasant way to spend a relaxing afternoon.

After our walk through the town we headed to our final destination for the trip, Lisbon. Getting to the hotel and to the parking was an interesting challenge as the hotel sits on a residential street and has no parking of its own. I think we dropped off our luggage and headed off to find parking in about 1 minute or less. We came back and checked in to our eclectic hotel.
