I do know that i skipped a day. Day 11 was part drive from Elgin to Aberdeen to Edinburgh and part day spent with friends and that was just for me.
Day 12 was my one day in Edinburgh with the hope of seeing several new sites.
My intention was to do a walking tour of the under-streets of Edinburgh. I could not book online and, unfortunately, the first tour I could have taken was not available till 5:30 P.M. So I headed off to Gladstone’s Land where I could see a 17th century apartment house.

I then spent a good while just walking the streets and taking a look at the old city.

I walked up this once last trip and once on this trip. I think that’s enough.

I also got to visit the National Museum of Scotland, an updated Victorian style museum.

Edinburgh is fun in small doses but after over a week in rural Scotland the crowds of people are a bit much.
Scotland has been fantastic and I’ve been extremely lucky with the weather. It’s always a good trip to Scotland when it’s sunny enough to get a sunburn! I look forward to my next trip here.

I won’t be writing anything further for the trip as the rest is just travel back to the States.
