Today started my multi-day journey north to the tip of Scotland. There were only two stops on my way north. My first stop was Blair Castle.
Blair Castle started life as a type of tower house but eventually became a large Georgian castle. The Dukes would add gardens and plant large groves of imported trees. Today, I’ll skip the history and just show of the rooms and surrounding gardens.

Stop two was the Highland Folk Museum which tries to show Scottish life from the 1700s to the 1950s and the changes in housing. This was my second time to the museum and still find the changes in housing through time fascinating. I cannot recommend it enough if you are anywhere nearby!

Tomorrow I’ll move further north to get closer to the Orkney ferry location.
